Empire MOT & Service Centre
A class 7 MOT station built from a virgin site to a functioning and lucrative business. Development of the site involved initial demolition and clearance, followed quickly with a reinforced concrete base to Ministry of Transport specifications. A none orthodox build requiring the mating of an existing hot rolled steel build to a new cold rolled steel structure with huge variance in both roof pitches.
Energy efficient 80mm composite was opted for by the client to ensure long fuel savings, along with composite sky lights to allow as much natural lighting as possible, therefore reducing the client carbon footprint.
A rainwater harvesting system ensured water could be harvested and used to wash vehicles as and when required. An office and viewing area was constructed within the existing structure with a mezzanine floor above to accommodate additional storage of spare parts.
The outlet was completed in 4months start to finish allowing the owners to reap the profits soon after investing in the build.
Since the initial build 6 further bays have been added as an expansion of services on offer by our clients.
“the contract was undertaken by Gemini with great enthusiasm, they stood by their word and completed what they said they would even battling against the elements, we will use their services again” Joe Koumi CEO
